FOOD FOR THE CREATIVE SOUL

Franco & Ally Vitella are both Chefs. You might have seen Ally Vitella on "Fat Chef" on the Food Network. Ms. Vitella came to my old place of employment and hired us to create a new site for her debut on the Food Network. She was very pleased on the design we came up with, and everything seem great. But, she must have gotten real busy over there because we hardly heard back from her mid-way thru the project. Anyways, I wanted to share the project regardless.

THE CHALLENGE

Besides fighting the cravings. There were some other challenges. Content Management System was at the top of the list. Vitella's Catering was one of the first site we created on a SharePoint platform. SharePoint presented a lot of challenges for first time users. There was a huge learning curve. Thinking back at it SharePoint was probably overkill. We probably should have gone with WordPress as the platform. #Hindsight 20/20.

First things first. Choosing a color palette to evoke hunger. Pretty important.

DESIGN DETAILS

I went with and ornate approach to the design. Since a large portion of their business came from weddings, I believe it might help make subtle connection.
